Following the launch of the Redmi Note 8 & 8 Pro, Xiaomi announced the new RedmiBook 14 models powered by 10th generation of Intel CPUs. Read on to know what’s new.
The new RedmiBook 14 Pro lineup consists of three variants. Apart from the processors, rest of the internals remain the same to the previous-gen RedmiBook 14. The base variant of the new lineup gets the 10th gen Intel Core i5 10210U CPU alongside 8 Gigs of RAM and 256 Gigs of SSD storage. This model is priced at CNY 3,999 (~ USD 560 / INR 40,000).
The second model gets the same Core i5 10210U and 8 Gigs of RAM but gets a 512 Gigs SSD instead of 256. This one goes for CNY 4,499 (~ USD 630 / INR 45,000).
The maxed-out model gets an Intel Core i7 10510U coupled with 8 Gigs of RAM and a 512 Gigs SSD. This one goes for CNY 4999 (~ USD 700 / INR 50,000).
All the three variants rely on the Nvidia MX250 2GB GPU for the graphics department, and all of them also get fresh Pink and Grey color variants alongside the regular Silver color. Remaining common specifications include a 14″ Full HD IPS display with 250 nits of peak brightness, a 46W cell that is said to charge up to 50% in just 35 minutes and last more than 10 hours on a full charge, two USB 3.0 and one USB 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm jack for audio output and an HDMI port. The laptops weigh around 1.5kg (3.3lbs).
Though many users are interested in welcoming the RedmiBook series to India, Xiaomi hasn’t revealed anything on the Indian launch for this series yet. We hope to see these machines in our hands soon so that we can use these in person and let you know if they perform as well as we expect them to.
